Place Value Dice Game
My students love to play this place value game! They roll a die and decide which place value to write the digit in. The goal is to get a number that is greater than your partner's. This game gets students thinking and covers standards 2.NBT.A.1 (understanding that place value represents amounts of hundreds, tens, and ones) and 2.NBT.A.4 (comparing three digit numbers, greater than and less than).
I copy my gameboards onto colorful cardstock and laminate so that students can use dry erase marker

I grew up in public schools and attended Illinois State University where I majored in Psychology. After observing in a first grade classroom for one of my Psychology courses, I knew that I needed to be in the classroom and I decided to major in Elementary Education as well.
