A lesson with a sweet treat! I use this activity at the end of my States of Matter Unit. Give students root beer floats and have them fill out the worksheet as an assessment of all they have learned. Such a fun activity! Kids love it!
Need a first day of school activity! Play-Doh! I have a little container of play-doh and sheet of wax paper waiting for them on their desk for the first day of school. They immediately get to play and create something while I am finishing up business with the craziness of the first day. After they have created something they draw and write about their creation. This is a great first writing/handwriting assessment.
