Experience

I have over 11 years of teaching experience, including a strong background in Exceptional Student Education. I currently teach 5th-grade science and specialize in creating hands-on, standards-aligned resources for upper elementary students. My materials are designed to support ELL and ESE learners, including clear directions and visuals, and align with Florida assessment expectations. All resources are classroom-tested and created with real students in mind.

Teaching style

My teaching style is hands-on, structured, and student-centered, built around the I–Do, We–Do, You–Do instructional model to support the gradual release of responsibility. I Do: I model new concepts using clear explanations, visuals, and teacher think-alouds to facilitate understanding. We Do: Students practice together with guided support, discussion, and feedback. You Do: Students apply their learning independently through centers, task cards, and assessments. This approach allows me to scaffold instruction for ELL and ESE learners while maintaining high expectations. All resources are standards-aligned, include student-friendly directions, and align with the language of the Florida assessment.
