I am a veteran educator with 14 years of teaching experience and more than 10 years specializing in AP Psychology and AP U.S. History. I have taught in a wide range of settings, including juvenile detention centers, inner-city schools, and an elite private high school, which has strengthened my ability to design materials that are both rigorous and accessible for diverse learners. I hold a master’s degree with training in reading instruction and have extensive experience supporting at-risk students, struggling readers, and students with dyslexia. My Orton-Gillingham training has shaped the way I create resources, with a strong emphasis on clarity, scaffolding, structured support, and academic depth. In addition, I have served as an AP Reader for both AP Psychology and AP U.S. History, giving me direct insight into College Board expectations, scoring standards, and the specific skills students need to succeed on AP Exams. I also have experience teaching History and Finance as an adjunct instructor at two local universities, which informs the depth and quality of my instructional materials.
