Sofia Speech

I originally designed this for a SNF patient with glaucoma to use for independent practice. I found that it is also suitable for students and those without visual impairments as it is highly structured. I placed the stimulus items in the center of the pages with large text. Large font alone may not help visual impairments. My patient benefited from using a magnifying glass and light.There are activities for categories, synonyms, and antonyms. 30 total sentences, 40 unscrambling tasks. Great to target and model syntactic structures. Excellent for home practice over the Christmas vacation as well!

This graphic organizer is ideal for upper elementary, middle school and high school. It is in PDF format and uses a web structure. I often tell students to choose 4 boxes to complete. Depending on their level, they can complete all boxes. The boxes include sentence, picture, synonym, antonym, related words and definition. The center box is where the student writes the word, date and course. Students have used these with their classroom teachers outside of speech.

Distance learning or in person! Great for speech therapy or general education. Also nice for homework since it is scaffolded. Kids LOVE this. Step into Robert Frost's poem with visuals and guided questions! This can take 10 minutes to 40 minutes. I have used this for a 30 minute speech therapy session. Powerpoint format with boxes to type into. Can easily be uploaded to Google Slides. Can also be used as a PDF. Please share with students as needed!
