Solution Factory

In this activity the students compare two car dealerships and answer the following question: "For what number of days is the total sale the same for both dealerships?" The students define the variables, write the equations that model the situations, graph the two equations and answer the series of questions about the meaning of the graphs. This activity is a great way of check students conceptual understanding of the solution to a system of linear equations in specific context.
