About the store
Hi! I’m a high school STEM teacher in Ontario with over 25 years in the classroom. I created Solve for Why because I know exactly what it feels like to watch a student shut down the moment they see an equation — and I know what it takes to bring them back. My resources are built around that: clear explanations, scaffolded practice, and the kind of structured review that actually sticks before an exam. Everything here is aligned to the Ontario curriculum (MPM2D, MCR3U, MCV4U, SPH3U, and more) — so no more sifting through American resources that don’t match what’s on your test. You’ll find: • Unit practice worksheets with full answer keys • Exam review packages for Grades 10, 11 and 12 • Formula reference sheets you’ll actually want to laminate • Resources designed to build confidence, not just cover content Whether you’re a teacher looking for ready-to-use classroom materials, a parent supporting your teen through Grade 12, or a student who needs things explained clearly — you’re in the right place.

Teaching style

I like to use a variety of different approaches and materials when teaching, to allow students of all learning styles to excel. I am a proponent of group work, and students supporting each other to reach a common goal. I believe in hands on learning, and I often tell students the only way to learn a subject, is to DO that subject.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Lots of praise & gratitude from former students and their parents!

My own education history

Bachelor of Engineering from McGill University. Education qualifications from Canisius College. Masters of Education from University of Toronto. Post Graduate Diploma in Distance Education Technology from Athabasca University. Currently enrolled in the MMath program at the University of Waterloo.

Additional biographical information

Having my own children has given me an alternate perspective on teaching and helped me become a better, more empathetic educator. I am environmentally friendly, and a fan of eating low on the food chain, values that enter my classroom on a regular basis!
