This is a hands-on way to practice addition and subtraction facts to reach mastery and fluency. It can be used as a teaching tool or as independent practice. You will need green, red, and white dice. Addition and subtraction facts are single digit and multi-digit. The activity is well supported for learners with special needs as the boxes are color coded to match the dice. Enjoy!
Just print, cut, laminate, and tape the habitats (division equations) into a file folder. Then with print, cut, laminate, and Velcro the animals (quotients) so students can match. It is a great activity to do as a warm-up, for centers, or independent practice time. It also ties in slightly to animal habitats in 4th grade.
