Space Kitty

Students dissect an "alien" while learning about the characteristics of life, environments and how they effect the organisms that live there. You could also use it to discuss the possibility of life somewhere other than on Earth and tie in NASA's search for signs of life in our solar system.

Students will build a foam rocket out of pipe insulation and launch it with a 5-gallon paint stirrer. This file includes detailed instructions on how to construct the foam rocket and the altitude tracker as well as a lesson portion on possible content area.
