Experience

I’m Stacey, the teacher behind Spanish Edge. I am a veteran Spanish educator with 20+ years of experience teaching Spanish 1 through AP Spanish Language and AP Spanish Literature. I create clear, culturally rich, and classroom-ready resources that save teachers time and help students build real confidence in Spanish. Each lesson is designed with empathy, rigor, and the joy of discovery at its core.

Teaching style

My teaching style focuses first and foremost of students' emotional well-being. In addition, as a Spanish learner myself, I can relate and understand the challenges of learning Spanish as a second language. I aim to learn something new each day, and I share that approach with my students.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I’ve had the honor of being recognized as Teacher of the Year at my school. My brightest moments, however, come from hearing students tell me they used their Spanish. Seeing my student rock out the AP exam feels great, too!

My own education history

I have a dual bachelor's degree in Journalism and Spanish Language, Literature and Culture from Syracuse University. I earned my M.A. in Professional Studies at Towson University. Like most of my students, I started learning Spanish in high school. And I'm still learning new things each day!

Additional biographical information

When I’m not in the classroom, I enjoy writing, mentoring, and creating resources that make life easier for teachers. My goal with Spanish Edge is to provide time-saving, high-quality materials that help teachers feel supported and students feel successful.
