Spanish Language Learner

In preparation for our celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, I discussed the words "nationality", "language", "heritage", and "citizenship". We completed pages 1 and 2 of this worksheet as a class. Students used pages 3 and 4 as spelling help and background information for our discussion. This discussion reached to the topic of Eastern Europe and colinization of other parts of the world.

As a preparation to our study of Hispanic Heritage month, we discussed nationality vs language. In this discussion, I added in the words "Heritage", "Race", and "Citizenship". These four pages paved the way to talk about Eastern Europe and their colinization around the world. Therefore, nationality and language are not always the same.
