As an SLP, I have found that a common goal for my elementary school kiddos is “WH” questions. There are a number of good materials out on the market, but I had a hard time finding quick and easy homework to send with the kids. This letter is a good resource to supply your speech parents with an introduction for the year. It allows them to know who will be working with their child, how often services will be provided and what they can do at home. Parents are a very important part of a communication team and sometimes are unaware of what they can do to help. With such busy schedules and multiple children, it is easy for parents to forget about an IEP meeting. This happens to me all of the time.
