¡Hola! I'm María, a passionate Spanish tutor with a background in Systems Engineering and over 10 years of experience helping students connect with the Spanish language in fun, meaningful ways.
What began as private tutoring has grown into a journey full of joy, creativity, and connection. I believe that language is deeply personal—when we learn a new language, we learn new ways to relate to the world and to each other.
Whether we're baking cookies or talking about space, I love bringing my students' interests into the lesson. Over the years, I’ve tutored learners from Pre-K to adults, and I currently focus on in-person tutoring for middle school, high school, college students, and adults.

Teaching style
My teaching style blends structure with creativity. I believe students thrive when they feel confident, supported, and engaged—so I design lessons that are systematic, clear, and developmentally appropriate, while still leaving room for curiosity and joy.
As both a tutor and a systems thinker, I value progression. Skills are introduced step-by-step, reinforced through repetition, and practiced in meaningful ways. Whether we are working on phonics, vocabulary, or writing, my goal is to help learners build strong foundations that lead to long-term confidence.
I create resources that are low-prep for teachers, approachable for students, and structured enough to support real growth—because learning a language should feel achievable, not overwhelming.
