Special Education/ Autism Counting 1-30 matching
This is a word document for teaching numbers, consecutive counting and number recognition from 1 to 30. The lines have been colour coded to assist students to identify the numbers making it easier to complete and be correct. Autism and Special Education students need this extra prompt to assist in recognising numbers over 10 and to understand where in the number chain they are, thus developing a sense of number value and an increase in number size.

Smart notebook Math counting data turn taking Autism, special Ed, ESL
This is a small note book file I created for my class of autistic special Ed students. it has an interactive dice counter and 9 slides of different health fruit choices.
It is an introduction to number and is used by me each week after we do Healthy Eating lessons and see what we have in our lunch boxes.
It covers the number counting curriculum and healthy eating PDHPE and maths chance and data with the interactive dice and this also covers social skills and turn taking.

Autism, special Ed, ESL picture photo match and small words. Editable.
Cut and paste or photo copy laminate and use to match. I have used these with my Special Ed kinder/grade 1 class.
Good for initial sound, word and picture recognition.
Real photos were used where possible to assist special needs students with identification of the objects.
I made the documents with text boxes and New South Wales font as I'm in Australia. As they are editable you can choose your own font.

Each has a symbol embedded in the label to assist identification. 21 Pages on a word document so you can add them to you smart board program or any other program. Fully editable.

Special ed Autism matching alphabet
This is an A4 document that you can print out twice, laminate and Velcro for a matching activity. Scaffold learning through visual repetition. a good accompaniment is to sing the alphabet with the student after the matching is complete, pointing to each letter as you sing.
I have left this document as a word doc. so you can change the fonts as you need to and/or change from capitals to lower case as needed. There is room in each square to also add the lower case letter if you wish to.

I'm an Australia teacher in Sydney working in a Special School with very special needs kids with multiple disabilities.
All my products are used in class so I have hopefully ironed out all of the bugs for you. Many products I have made editable because in Special Education everything can change in a moments notice and needs to be adaptable. You also don't usually get the same types of abilities of students each year and so resources need to change.
I will post Australian themed items and I try to relate them back to our curriculum and cover the key learning areas such as math, english, social skills, history etc, but don't post the outcomes as I know this is mainly an american site.
I love TPT and it has saved me many an hour in getting resources. So I hope you enjoy my products and they help make your teaching more fun. If you would like me to make any products please let me know.
