About the store
I have 19 years experience teaching in the field of special education. I have taught grades Kindergarten through grade 5. During my first few years of teaching I was trained to used The Wilson Reading System Level I. That began my journey for learning as much as I can about students with reading disabilities, in particular Dyslexia. I have since jumped at any opportunity to learn a new approach/program as I believe every child learns differently. I received my Master's degree in Special Education/Reading Specialist. Since then I have also been certified in the Orton-Gillingham Approach through IMSLEC and I hold a certification through CERI.

Group Lesson Plan

This is a group lesson plan that I use when implementing a Wilson lesson. I found it helpful so I could target specific trouble spots for each student. It is for use for any group size up to four. The first page is the reading portion and the second the spelling/dictation. I usually print it back to back.

Teaching style

Kids learn best by doing so I always use multisensory instruction in my special education classroom. If a student can't learn then I need to find another way to teach them. The more I know the bette I can teach.
