About the store
I taught Prekindergarten for special needs students (mostly those with autism.) Then, I taught students with autism at the elementary level. I was an Autism coach/Specialist. Currently I am a Behavior specialist at the district level where I support staff that work with students with an IEP that have behavior challenges. I specialize in supporting schools with self contained classes of autism and intellectual disabilities at the elementary and preschool level.

About the store

Experience

Teaching style

Hands-on, visual approach. I love incorporating music, art, and movement into the learning to integrate the senses, encouraging communication and emotional regulation. I love and believe in using thematic units and student's interests to teach concepts.

I received an award from the Center for Autism and Related Disabilites for Educator of the year. I also received an award from the local Autism Society of America and the Autism Notebook.
