I love visuals for my pre-reader, so I created a picture task list. When we wake up on a weekend I want him to go to the bathroom, brush teeth, brush hair, get dressed, and eat breakfast. Then we figure out something to do like reading, playing with toys, or going to the park. I'm hoping the pictures at the bottom help him foster some independence in deciding what he can do. I've made all the visuals black and white outlines. This could be a fun coloring activity so that your kid can take owners

I have a new kindergartener, and mornings can be difficult! I created a picture of all the tasks he can do himself: potty, brush hair, brush teeth, get dressed, pajamas in laundry hamper, eat breakfast, pack lunch, pack backpack, put on shoes by the door, and decide if we need a sweatshirt. We live in California, so a sweatshirt is usually all we need! Except on those occasional rainy winter days. I love the visuals for my pre-reader. I just have to feign forgetfulness and he reminds me! "Ok, yo
