I am a 6 year High school Special Education Teacher. I teach 9-12 math ( alg. 1, Geometry, Math Models, Personal financial Literacy), I teach 9-12 Sciences ( Biology, Chemistry, & Environmental Systems) I also teach Making Connections and Life Skills classes. All Subjects in the Special Education setting.

Christmas Shopping Project
This activity is to branch off of writing checks and balancing a check book. Students will be given a task to purchase Christmas gifts at 4 different stores. Students will write checks to each store to "purchase" the items. Then use the check register to balance their checkbook to see how much money they have left over from their Christmas shopping spree.
