About the store

Experience

I am currently a high school special education teacher in cross-categorical Algebra and Resource classes and also teach a Reading/Writing course during the summer. My students have a range of disabilities and benefit from scaffolded instruction through the use of modified materials, engaging activities, and numerous organizational tools.

Teaching style

Creating opportunities for students to participate in highly motivational and engaging activities is pivotal to student success! Incorporating different reward-based systems in a classroom is also important to achieving buy-in from students that may become easily discouraged.

My own education history

Completed Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Special Education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Currently completing Master's Degree (LBSII) with an endorsement as a Curriculum Adaptation Specialist and Behavior Intervention Specialist
