Hello! I have been working in Autism Special Day classes for 4 years. My son’s diagnosis of ASD and ADHD sent me on a journey to become a special education teacher. The Autism Classroom can be one of the most challenging due to limitations in language, which opens the door to big behaviors and frustrations. Hopefully, my resources will help you reduce those big behaviors and engage your learners. I love creating resources for my students (and son) to help them access the material and to give them tools to better communicate and reduce inappropriate behaviors. Behavior is communication, after all. I am adapting my classroom activities and adding them to TPT, so please check back regularly or follow me to stay updated!
