About the store
Heidi has been working as a Speech-Language Pathologist for over 15 years. She has practiced in public and private schools as well as childcare centers working with 3 year olds to 5th graders. She has also served as a Clinical Supervisor for graduate students in school to become SLPs. Heidi has worked with students exhibiting articulation, language, voice, and fluency delays and disorders, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Delays, Hearing Impairments, and Visual Impairments. Paula, now retired, worked in the Caddo Parish School System in Louisiana for 40 years with students who have language deficits, as well as those who have multiple disabilities. Each year her caseload includes students who are completely nonverbal and use assistive technology to communicate.

Teaching style

Thematic activities tied to classroom curriculum and the use of visuals to improve overall communication skills are consistently used throughout our products. We feel that interactive lessons are important in getting students to be engaged in the learning process.

My own education history

Heidi graduated from Louisiana State University in 2008 with a B.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders and in 2010 with a Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Paula graduated from Louisiana State University-Shreveport in 1977 with a B.A. in Speech Therapy and in 1978 with a Masters Degree in Communications Disorders.
