After working as a behavioral therapist in her daughter's language teaching program, she returned to school to earn her M.A. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. She then worked for seven years as a pediatric SLP. She currently works as a tele therapist and writes curriculum for Speech Kube. Sensible and Silly R Rhymes for R final and R initial Articulation
These phrases combine the final R sound with the initial R sound to help students with an emerging /r/ achieve the tongue elevation necessary for consistent /r/ sound production. As students "hear" the correct /r/ sound they are producing, they are better able to self monitor and to begin consistently articulating the /r/ sound for carryover into other word positions.
