Black History Month Wh- Question Stories: Influential Black Historical Figures
I wanted to create "no-prep" story activities that highlighted historical figures for Black History Month and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. My students are already familiar with amazing people like Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks, so I wanted to introduce them to even more influential people to broaden their Black History knowledge (see below figures that were chosen). I received a Bachelor's in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Illinois State University. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree, I earned my Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Appalachian State University. Upon completion of graduate school, I enjoyed a career in the hospitals, but now I am enthralled with the teletherapy school setting.
