I am a Speech Language Pathologist in preschool and early childhood! Passionate about making products for neurodivergent individuals and that are accessible!
This social emotional visual chart provides early learners with examples of feeling labels and choices of coping strategies. With three different chart formats, educators can choose whether a child is ready to use the chart with combined "I feel, I need" or if they need separate visuals. This can act as classroom decor for calm-down corners or areas in the classroom where children can easily access this visual in order to communicate their feelings. This was designed specifically for kids aged 3
Use this for language goals or just a warm up activity after reading Pete The Cat: I Love My White Shoes! Talk about: -colors -cause/effect -making predictions -emotions -favorite colors -opposites (wet/dry, cold/hot, dark/light)
Easy "All About Me" activity! For a final step, have the child glue on a characteristic that they feel describes them (I think I am... kind/funny/smart). Pro tip: Make an example by filling in the sheet all about you!
These slips allow you to communicate effectively with parents and provide small tidbits for them to work on with their child. With two different types of slips, you can cater the take-home for speech or language goals.
