About the store

Experience

I am a speech therapist who has been in the field for more than 20 years. I provide direct therapy as well as evaluate students for services. I work in an elementary school and have a private home practice.

Teaching style

I love being literature based! It is great for reaching your direct IEP goals in an enriching environment. I am huge fan of helping students to communicate clearly through oral motor exercises and awareness as well as through fun and engaging activites!

Awards & shining teacher moments

Though I love helping my students with all of their language needs, I have to say that I find it so rewarding to work on articulation. The gains are easily measurable and with consistency and patience you are sure to see growth in a relatively short amount of time.

Additional biographical information

I am a mom to twins and triplets! They are grown and in college now; it's so fun to be around young adults. I owned and operated AccentMaster, a business that provided specialized accent reduction software for English pronunciation which was a great match with how much we speech therapists understand about producing sounds! I love creating materials and hanging out with my two dogs and my family!
