Speedy Sources

These simple sheet allows students to build their understanding of numbers 1-20. They can choose a number and represent the number in various ways, i.e. in a tens frame, on a number line etc. This will support students in building a stronger mental representation of numbers, rather than the surface level learning that is achieved through rote learning.

Quick warm up activity that you can get students to practise their number facts to 10 with. Time how long it takes them each day and see if they get quicker.

Students can create their own number problems and provide the solutions to their problems in a fun board game!

These are the goals I will put into students' books during term 1/2 and have the students select and assess their goals on a weekly basis. I will sign off their goals when achieved.
