This linear relation lab activity is perfect for connecting patterns in real data with linear relations. Students test the strength of spaghetti by finding the minimum mass that a bundle of spaghetti can support. They then test again; increasing the number of strands in their bundle to see if there's a connection between the number of spaghetti strands and the minimum breaking mass.
