I am a Fourth Grade Catholic School Teacher in Colorado.
After 27 Years of working in the Corporate Computer Sales, I hoped to find something more fun and rewarding. I could not have picked a better, higher calling for a job. I just completed my first year as a teacher. This is the hardest work I have ever done, but also the most rewarding by a mile. It has been an adventurous, rewarding experience and pilgrimage for me. Math Literacy Daily Warmup
A very simple idea and PDF example to engage fourth graders with writing and math. This little routine not only encouraged my students to write, but helped them make sense of the raw math calculation they were hit with everyday. Teaching style
A hands-on, firm and fair teacher who believes good behavior is modeled and orchestrated. Learning and behavior are inter-related. You cannot have one without the other. I believe in being a positive role model who places an emphasis on serving God first in everything we do. Learning academics is necessary, but a secondary goal to emphasizing a vocation that serves God by being a positive influence on others.
