Fraction Multiplication Quilt

This is a project for multiplying fractions using manipulatives. It fits SOL 6.4. This works with visual multiplication. Students fold a piece of paper representing the multiplication of 2 fractions. Students will color in their piece of the quilt and then I "sew" them up and hang it up in the classroom.

Teaching style

My teaching style is a harmonious blend of the tried-and-true methods that form the educational foundation, enriched by the creativity and engagement fostered through hands-on projects, and elevated by the transformative power of technology. This approach ensures that students receive a comprehensive and adaptable education that prepares them for success in a rapidly evolving world.

My own education history

I attended a small private school in southern Virginia. Following graduation, I enrolled at Longwood University for my undergraduate studies and completed my degree in 3 and 1/2 years. I pursued my Master's in Instructional Design and Technology at WVU. Currently, I am in the process of earning my PhD in Instructional Design at Liberty University.
