This is a great introduction to poetry for upper level students, or as an engaging activity within a music, reading, or cultural unit. Answer key included. Quick and easy partner practice activity using gustar and infinitives from Chapter 1A in Realidades 1. Students will practice asking, ¿Cómo te llamas? and ¿Te gusta? matching activities with famous people.
-Adjust the words choice or celebrity as needed in the Word document based on your curriculum and students' interests.
-Scale up this activity by having students complete a Venn diagram of what they have in common with their partner or the famous person listed. Or add, ¿y a ti? or yo tambi
2 person conversation highlighting the uses of saber and conocer. It's a high interest conversation about a boy who has a crush on the new girl in class. There are true/false comprehension questions along with personalized practice. I included references to Middle Eastern culture, which is a great segue into the history of Spain and the influence of Arabic on modern Spanish. I used a local restaurant to attract their interest so make sure you scroll down and personalize it for you!
Fun word play with national chains and restaurant brands reworded using synonyms. This is a great sub plan activity! Your students will love poring over these riddles. It's a great way to introduce additional vocabulary and to gauge your student's vocabulary. Edit as you please in the Word document to accommodate your student's vocabulary level.
