Experience
I am currently in my 10th year of teaching. I taught for 3 years in Arizona and I now teach in the Tampa Bay Area of Florida. I run my own small private school in Manatee County. I also coached cheerleading for 10 years as well as other experiences with children.
Teaching style
My goal is to constantly increase student engagement in my classroom. I do this by searching out new and creative ideas to bring into the classroom. I use "Power Teaching," "Quantum Learning," "The Kagan Method" as well as other methods. Kids today volunteer their time and attention, it's no longer assumed they are accountable or responsible for their own engagement. Plus, learning should be fun!
My own education history
Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University. Masters in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.
