Teaching style

I am a creative person who likes to personalize materials so that my students relate to what they are working on. I feel it's important to recognize the student's perspective in order to understand how to motivate and teach him/her best. As I watch and learn from those I teach, I know that behavior (in any form) is communication. I enjoy figuring out how to support my student's communication needs. I enjoy working with students, families, & staff to develop strategies and skills in the areas of social communication (greetings, conversation, emotion awareness, social problem solving), and speech/language development.
