6 Maker Space task cards that has students build something. Each task card gives students a certain amount to "spend" and it tells what materials to use and how much those materials cost. Students have to add up how much they spent and subtract their total to figure out how much change they have left. This is a great review and practice of adding and subtracting decimals and word problems!
Conferring with sticky notes is my favorite! So quick and easy. Here is a template to give to students (after laminating) to put in their notebooks, folders, binders, you name it. I always write a glow and grow and this template makes it easy for students to go back and check what they're working on.
