About the store

Experience

I was an ELL teacher for twelve years. I taught in Nairobi, Kenya, New York State, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Teaching style

My teacher style focused on all four language skills with an emphasis on literacy. For beginner level proficient language learners, my focus was applying vocabulary words to literacy skills. My unit plans reflect this form of practice.

My own education history

I received a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Special Education at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY. After my 2 year teaching experience in Nairobi, Kenya, I received a master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (K-12) at St. Michael's College in the Burlington, VT area.
