Students get thrown into a real life problem with this project! The scenario the students work through is a concrete company that has suddenly lost a vital employee. The company is in need of providing a quote to a customer ASAP for a basement, driveway, and garage floor. Students are provided with dimensions and price points for different thicknesses of concrete. Based on this information, they are to come up with a proposed price for the customer. Teaching style

My philosophy of teaching is to find different ways for students to learn. I believe it is important to show students that math does apply to the "real world" and that yes, indeed, math can be fun.

I enjoy trying new strategies with my students and 'trying' to keep up with them and technology in the classroom. I have also started working with my mom to create TpT resources.
