About the store
Hello! I am a secondary science specialist for a large urban district. I taught fifth grade math and science for four years in a Title 1 public school. For five years I taught Algebra 1 and eighth grade Science at a middle school, during which I was also the Science Department Chair at my school. I have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of abilities and academic achievement levels including general education, gifted and talented, and students with special needs. I have developed, written, and implemented curriculum and assessments at the elementary and secondary level. I have years of experience creating and presenting individualized, school-based, and systemic professional development.

Teaching style

My commitment to making content meaningful for all students through the use of culturally responsive teaching practices and innovative instruction has been the driving force of my teaching career. In my current role as a secondary science specialist in a large urban district, I am focused on supporting teachers as they cultivate global citizens through effective instruction. We actively work toward empowering students to create a better quality of life for themselves, their communities, and the next generation.
