I believe that mathematics should be simple and beautiful. Correspondingly, I like to create worksheets with thought-provoking questions that are no-frills. The following worksheets involve the use of standard deviations and the normal distribution. It is assumed that students have access to a table of Z Scores.
Developing problem-solving resources, especially for gifted students, can be quite difficult. The following worksheet is designed for Year 10, 11 or 12 Mathematics students who would like to improve their problem solving ability using quadratics. This would be equivalent to Algebra I or II students in the American system. In addition to questions, I have provided some 'handy hints' for (students) and teachers who may need to be pointed in the right direction, without telling you the answer.
