This is the slideshow and scaffolded notes for the beginning of the year questions, "What is Science?" and "What are different types of science?" Students Think-Pair-Share in their notes, and their answers are recorded on the Smart/Promethean Board within the slideshow. The types of scientists students identify are then sorted into the three branches of science: Earth, Life and Physical. 10 slides and 2 pages of interactive notes. Can be edited to fit curriculum needs.
