Experience

Welcome to STEM in Action! Our focus is on providing STEM and classroom resources that are inquiry based, hands on, and standard aligned. We aim to help educators confidently teach rigorous subjects with our easy to use resources.

Teaching style

My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, focusing on hands-on learning. I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged, and my resources reflect this by including plenty of activities and projects. In my classroom, I strive to create an environment where students feel empowered to explore and experiment, ensuring that they develop a deep understanding of the subject matter. By incorporating inquiry-based techniques, my materials aim to foster critical thinking and creativity, making learning dynamic and enjoyable for all students.

My own education history

With many years of experience teaching STEM classes at both the primary and secondary level, I have developed a deep understanding of inquiry based learning. My journey in education began with Teach for America where I developed inclusive activities to foster belonging. Since then, I have gotten a Masters in Teaching, with endorsements in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education, Science Education, and Elementary Education, which has allowed me to create resources that are rigorous and rewarding. My experience has shown me that students thrive when they are challenged and supported, and I strive to incorporate this into every product I create.

Additional biographical information

Outside of teaching, I enjoy painting and hiking, which often inspire my educational materials. My passion for creativity helps me bring a unique artistic element into the classroom, making learning more engaging and colorful for my students. Balancing these interests with my professional life allows me to create well-rounded and diverse resources for educators.
