Guided Practice on Circuits: Series, Parallel, and Combination [KEY]

This module starts with series circuits, moves on to parallel, then finishes with combination circuits(having both series and parallel elements.) This product teaches the material then gives related sample problems. So teach a little, let your students try, then discuss the results. The answers to all problems are included. This packet will help your students understand how to calculate potential difference, current, power, resistance, and it's appropriate for regular high school physics classes

Uniform Circular Motion guided practice(KEY)

This worksheet guides students through the process of solving circular motion problems. There are ten circular motion problems, plus two review problems at the end which do not deal with circular motion(random practice problems.) The first problem has hints and suggestions as to which equations to use, the second problem has some smaller hints, and for the third and subsequent problems, the students are mostly on their own. Excellent way to guide your students through the process of learning thi

Physics- Static and Kinetic Friction Review - Flat surfaces [KEY]

These worksheets guide students through the process of solving static and kinetic friction problems on flat surfaces. There are seven comprehensive problems, some with substantial guidance and the rest with little to no help, plus three review problems on the last page. Problems marked with an asterisk are considered more challenging than the rest. This is an excellent- and low-friction(eye roll)- way to guide your students through the process of learning this topic! These review sheets are a

Inclined Planes Part II - with friction[KEY]

Inclined Planes Part II - with friction- has arrived! This can be given as a handout to be done during class, or an intro to inclined planes with friction, or for homework. There are 14 problems, the first one has ample guidance, the 2nd, less guidance, and the 3rd has minimal guidance. After that, the students are on their own. The problems consist of inclined planes with friction, a few without friction, and two body problems with pulleys. Please take a look at the preview which contains quite

Math FOIL Worksheet with History Mystery

Foiling doesn't have to be dull- and why not pair it with some history? This worksheet accomplishes that- students practice foiling, addition, and learning some interesting facts about a historical figure. A trifecta! This copyrighted work is only for use in the classroom of the teacher who purchased it, no sharing with other teachers, though feel free to provide them a link where they can purchase it too, thanks!

Calculus: Related Rates Guided Practice [KEY]

Teach your students related rates easily and quickly. This is one of my favorite topics, and I hope to pass that on to your students. In this packet you'll find four carefully worked out problems to demonstrate changing area, volume, and distance, followed by 15 practice problems which vary in difficulty. These problems are appropriate for regular Calculus, AP Calculus AB and BC. Thanks for your purchase, this work is copyrighted and only for use in the classroom of the teacher who purchases it

Calculus: u-substitution[KEY]

This packet walks students through every step of u-substitution on four problems, ranging from common u-substitution to less common applications. All integrals in this packet are indefinite. I'll be posting one on definite integrals soon, stay tuned! This packet shows students how to accomplish u-substitution on less obvious u-sub problems like integrating the below function: f(x) = x(2x-7)^(1/4) Besides the four carefully worked out problems, there are 18 practice problems which should provide

Physics: Work, Energy, Springs [KEY]

This is an entirely self-contained lesson on potential energy(of springs and due to gravity,) kinetic energy(translational,) and the Work-Energy Theorem. It's intended for regular or honors physics classes, with about 1 page of 17 focused on calculus-based physics(this section can be omitted from regular and honors classes without any loss in continuity.) There are 9 solved problems in the body of the text, and 10 problems for practice(with reasonably detailed solutions at the end of the packet.

Physics - Inclined Planes Part I with key

This worksheet guides students through the process of solving inclined plane problems(with no friction.) There are seven inclined plane problems in total. The first problem has hints and suggestions as to which equations to use, the second problem has some smaller hints, and for the third and fourth problems, the students are mostly on their own. The fourth problem is rather challenging(as indicated by the asterisk,) and the 5th is even more challenging. Then there are three review problems whic

Kinematics - Modules 1 and 2

These two modules will help the instructor teach kinematics at a regular physics or an honors physics level. The slides briefly introduce the concepts along with any relevant equations, typically followed by a few in-class problems to be done by the students. All in-class problems have a brief answer key included. At a reasonable pace, this material will take a typical class about two or three classes to complete, and a bit more than that if time is allocated to the quizzes. There are four quiz

Super-Secret, Super-Effective way of factoring quadratic equations

You've likely heard whispers of this method throughout the hallowed halls of your educational institution, but certain teachers have been reluctant to divulge its secrets... Yes, it's a really fast and easy way of factoring quadratics with leading coefficients that don't equal '1.' For example, want to factor 8x^2 + 6x – 9 without a hint of guesswork? This presentation will show you(and your students) how to do it, quickly and easily. And no, it won't involve the quadratic equation! This copyri
