Just how many triangles are in this Christmas tree? A fun math and visually challenging activity - counting triangles within a shape of triangles! Can be used as a "What now?" activity for those that are finished with their work, or as a center activity, or a small group or pairs activity. As an added challenge, have the students draw in the lines at the bottom the complete the largest triangle, extend the inside lines, and see how many more triangles were created with just a few added lines.

Skyscraper Detectives is an integrated mini-unit for 2nd and 3rd grade students that teaches them what a skyscraper is compared to other tall buildings. Want to have students compare and order numbers with a real world application? Then, here are two sheets for you! Students can cut out these tall buildings and order them from least to greatest (or vice versa). Students can also find the difference between the tallest and shortest buildings as an extension exercise. Numbers on fall pumpkins for a multitude of math center activities, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division practice. Students select two cards, then practice the desired math operation with those two numbers.
