About the store
I am a STEM educator and leader passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that bring real-world problem solving into the classroom. My resources are designed to transform traditional instruction into interactive investigations, challenges, and collaborative learning stations that promote critical thinking and student achievement of NGSS and Common Core Standards. With a strong focus on high school STEM, I develop classroom-ready materials that integrate math, science, and engineering practices in the most advanced coursework - AP Precalculus, Algebra 2, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. My work emphasizes STEM instructional practices - inquiry-based learning, real-world application, and meaningful student engagement—whether through forensic investigations, engineering design challenges, or data-driven experiments using the 5E instructional model to drive inquiry and scaffold student learning experiences.

Experience

I am a STEM educator and leader passionate about creating engaging, hands-on learning experiences that bring real-world problem solving into the classroom. My resources are designed to transform traditional instruction into interactive investigations, challenges, and collaborative learning stations that promote critical thinking and student achievement of NGSS and Common Core Standards. With a strong focus on high school STEM, I develop classroom-ready materials that integrate math, science, and engineering practices in the most advanced coursework - AP Precalculus, Algebra 2, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. Teaching style

My teaching style centers on active learning, where students learn by doing rather than passively receiving information. I design lessons that challenge students to think critically, solve authentic problems, and apply content in meaningful contexts. I believe in blending structure with creativity—providing clear guidance while allowing students the freedom to explore, test ideas, and iterate on solutions. My resources often use station-based learning, collaborative challenges, and real-world scenarios to make STEM concepts accessible, engaging, and memorable.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I have won Teacher of the Year and awarded exemplary Science and Math Award by the University of Florida, Polytechnic. Represented the Florida Department of Education as a nominee to collaborate with Pearson to write the Science standards and competencies for assessent and recruited by the College Board to promote equity and access for STEM. Some of my most rewarding teaching moments come from watching students fully engage in complex problem-solving tasks—especially those who may not typically see themselves as “STEM learners.” Seeing students collaborate, persist through challenges, and take pride in their solutions is what drives my work. From successfully hosting STEM Nights to facilitating high-energy classroom challenges, I’ve created learning environments where students are excited, curious, and deeply involved in their learning journey.

My own education history

My background in STEM education has equipped me with the knowledge and skills to design rigorous, standards-aligned learning experiences that connect theory to practice. I continuously refine my work through classroom implementation, ensuring that every resource is both effective and teacher-friendly. Today as a fully qualified and practicing Principal in the State of Indiana, I leverage my qualifications and experiences teaching Math and Science at all grade levels to support teaching and learning and promote the matriculation of students to STEM careers and teachers to become excellent practitioners in their own right. I am committed to lifelong learning and staying current with best practices in STEM instruction, including inquiry-based learning, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary integration.

Additional biographical information

I specialize in creating ready-to-use STEM activities that save teachers time while maximizing student engagement. My resources are designed with flexibility in mind—perfect for classrooms, STEM events, enrichment programs, and collaborative learning environments. From forensic science labs to engineering design challenges, my goal is to make STEM exciting, relevant, and accessible for all students. Every product is created with both teachers and students in mind, ensuring clarity, rigor, and a high level of engagement. My long term vision for STEMifiED is to have a one-stop-shop that provides teachers incredible resources to launch their units of study and provide teachers with ready-made units of study in all math and science subjects to allow for teachers and students to achieve the results they deserve.
