Big Smelly Bear - Build a Back Scratcher STEM Challenge

This is a ready to use STEM challenge featuring the story Big Smelly Bear by Britta Teckentrup. This can be used for a one class period type of STEM lesson. I use them in my STEM lab with my first grade students. We use the book as the hook and then turn the bears problem into our STEM challenge. This would be a good lesson to introduce students to STEM. This lesson show students how people all around the world have problems and then we have to solve them! I have my students for 45 minutes
