Determining a random sample
This activity, as part of 7.SP.1, provides two levels of difficulty. The lower level cards provide students with a scenario and students must decide if this is an example of a random sample or not. The higher level cards are multiple choice. Students are provided with a scenario and students must select the best response.

Teaching style
While I hold the belief that every student can learn, I am also realistic enough to realize that not everyone learns at the same rate. I strongly believe it is the teachers job to differentiate materials and activities to challenge each student at their level. By helping each student accomplish a part of the task that helps them feel successful, we can make steps towards the overall goal or objective.
My own education history
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I earned my Masters in Special Education and Rank 1 in Middle School Science.
