My students need practice with authentic ACT problems that relate to what I'm teaching in class so I created some worksheets that are great warm ups- This one is based towards the genetics side of things, with antler inheritability- data table, image and 5 ACT style questions. The key is provided along with ACT tips... great for sophomores or juniors getting ready for the ACT science test. I wrote this practice passage as like the ACT practice passages are for Science Section. I catered it towards my current unit in Biology on Genetics- specifically chromosomes, inheritability and meiosis. The answer key and some ACT Science tricks are included on the last pages. The blue star is only on the preview file. The original download file you get with purchase is simply the document without any stars on it.

This passage was created for my students in Anatomy to help them prep for the ACT, specifically focusing on what we are learning in class but types of questions that they would see on the ACT. The graphs are from google and information from medical textbooks. Total of 4 questions with passage. In the form of a google quiz (will share link if you want) or pdf document.

This awesome article from Genetic Literacy Project poses the idea of getting blood transfusions from apes or pigs. A great follow up activity after a mini unit on blood typing or ABO Blood Genetics/Punnett Squares. Also great for enrichment when entering the genetic/genetic engineering units. My students enjoy reading this article and the questions I wrote as comprehension questions serve as a great way to hold them accountable to complete the reading.

This Crash Course video is great for intro the fossil record of Evolution Evidence- This video sheet covers Hanks video by asking questions throughout the 11 mins. Questions about the fossil record, homologous structures, vestigial structures and more.

This is a great activity and ACT practice for your classroom 8,9,10th grades are ideal. This passage gives them real practice, comes with the answer key and also includes the actual lab to do this type of experiment if you want. I love doing these specific content practice passages with my students to prepare them for the ACT so I'm sharing with you! Enjoy! It's worth your time, and more importantly- THEIR time!!

In this lab students will demonstrate what it takes to have yeast respire. Add-on's like enrichment questions after the lab, post lab assessment questions and more! Includes Teacher notes and key. Student enjoy this lab and so do teachers- it is fast, easy to set up and interactive. Connects the role of sugar and respiration with end products and how we use it in our every day lives (bread, fuel etc).

This lab has students soak eggs in vinegar to remove CaCO3 shell- through the membrane different substances (sugar water, salt water etc) diffuse through- allowing for the egg to gain or lose mass. Can take 2-5 days depending on what depth you go to - allows for great discussion questions after. The giant blue stars are only on the preview files :)

I made this video sheet to go with The Integumentary System, Part 1 - Skin Deep: Crash Course A & P #6 and The Integumentary System, Part 2 - Skin Deeper: Crash Course A & P #7 for my anatomy students. The quick 10 questions for each video is a nice way to know they're following along, but not too many questions. Answer key for both sets of questions is on the next page.

This video sheet follows in order the Crash Course Video... does a great job of hitting the big points, but skipping over the stuff students should already know.

We all love Crash Course's Videos, but sometimes need a follow along worksheet or assign a follow up homework to the video. This Crash Course Video Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology #1 Worksheet Video ?'s is thorough and could be even used as a QUIZ if you wanted to!

Science ACT Practice Passage- Anatomy Integumentary System- Burns and the Skin was created for my anatomy class to practice the ACT style questions and also get some information on what we were currently studying. The answers to each question are included- and the nice thing, it is a word document so you can edit as you wish! Great for introducing the topic of classification and taxonomy or doing some homework/elaboration on the topic.

This WS is great to use as a follow up or during the crash course video on the nitrogen and phosphorus cycle.

This video sheet is great to use with the National Geographic Video on Colliding Continents either in an Earth Science Class or Biology Course during the plate tectonics unit/evolution.
