Social-emotional regulation research from Kari Dunn Buron and Mitzi Curtis's Five Point Scale provides the background for the scale. Parent-at-home educators and traditional or virtual teachers may use these goal attainment scales to build mindfulness in children to determine their readiness to perform schoolwork.
