This RICH Learning Task teaches students about money, measurement and the 4 major maths operations in a fun way. Based on the old TV show, Backyard Blitz, students are given a certain amount of money so that they can make their dream backyard. You can either print out their catalogue of goods, or load it digitally for their shopping pleasure.

This activity brings the Olympic spirit into your maths classes in a fun way for the students. Have them complete 10 different activities that require them to use many different units of measurement. Activities such as the sponge squeeze and the plastic straw javelin are great fun for the students.

A great way to practice how to complete algorithms involving the 4 major maths operations. Students will know whether they are right or not by completing the code.
