Solving Proportions Partner Activity
Partners work to solve their own individual problems, but their answers should match their partner's answers for each row. If the answers don't match, the pair has to work together to determine the correct solution to both problems. Solving proportions, using ratios to find missing values, multiple instances of the variable, all solutions are linear (no quadratics or factoring required)

Distance Formula Partner Practice
Students work in pairs to find the distance between the given coordinates. Even though each student has a different problem, their answers will match. This allows them to check each other's work and troubleshoot if there's a difference in their answers. Can be used individually as a self-check practice.
8th - 10th

Midpoint Formula Partner Activity
Students work with a partner, each finding the midpoint of their own coordinate points. Even though their problems are different, the answers in each row match so students can check their work and troubleshoot with each other when needed. Great as a collaborative activity or as a partner quiz!

My own education history
I earned my undergraduate degree in business before doing a teacher certification program through the local community college. I started as a special education teacher but transitioned to a high school math teacher. I have my masters in education leadership and am partway through my masters in math education.
