Preview of Equations of Lines Reference Sheet

Equations of Lines Reference Sheet

Reference sheet covers the basics of equations of lines. Includes slope, slope-intercept form, point-slope form, and standard form. Perfect to have for students as they are learning the multiple forms of an equation to use as a reference when solving problems and great as a quick review for students in higher-level math courses.
Preview of Distance Formula Partner Practice

Distance Formula Partner Practice

Students work in pairs to find the distance between the given coordinates. Even though each student has a different problem, their answers will match. This allows them to check each other's work and troubleshoot if there's a difference in their answers. Can be used individually as a self-check practice.
Preview of Solving One-Step Equations Partner Activity

Solving One-Step Equations Partner Activity

Each partner solves their own set of one-step equations, but their answers should match their partner's answers. This allows groups to work on individual problem solving skills while allowing for collaboration to troubleshoot differing answers.
Preview of Solving Multi-Step Linear Equations Partner Activity

Solving Multi-Step Linear Equations Partner Activity

Partners will work together to solve separate problem sets that have the same answer for each row. They can check their answers with their partner and help each other when answers don't match. Requires students to solve linear equations and use error analysis to ensure answers are correct.
Preview of Solving Quadratic Equations Maze

Solving Quadratic Equations Maze

Students will solve quadratic equations with "a"-values greater than one to navigate through the maze until they reach the finish line. The options help students self-check their own work and make checking for understanding quick as you glance at their paths.
Preview of Finding Slope Partner Activity

Finding Slope Partner Activity

Each partner finds the slope of their own points, but should get the same answer as their partner, even with different points. If answers don't match, the pair must troubleshoot their responses to find the correct answer.
Preview of Solving Inequalities in One Variable Partner Activity

Solving Inequalities in One Variable Partner Activity

Partners will work together to solve their own problem sets, but corresponding problems have matching answers. This allows partners to compare answers and troubleshoot with each other when they get different answers. Can also be used individually as self-check practice

About the store

Experience

I have taught multiple levels of high school math in my career and am currently working as a math interventionist at the high school level. The unique opportunity to work in various subjects and with various educators has given me a broad perspective of how to approach practice, note taking, assessment, and instruction.

Teaching style

I believe that students learn and retain information best when they are actively solving problems and working collaboratively with their peers.

My own education history

I earned my undergraduate degree in business before doing a teacher certification program through the local community college. I started as a special education teacher but transitioned to a high school math teacher. I have my masters in education leadership and am partway through my masters in math education.
