This novel guide has an outline of the chapters with vocabulary and comprehension questions included in it. (There's also a space at the beginning for identifying the setting, making a prediction, & writing down descriptions about the characters.)

The activities included in this notebook are: cut &; glue sorts, guided note-taking, experiment charts & workshops, & some open-response questions.

For those of you who homeschool or tutor or do something outside of teaching in school, this letter is intended to be a help/guide when you're first trying to reach out to the parents & clients.

This dichotomous key practice (brief worksheet) is based on tree types in Utah. Teaching with this resource can address recognizing leaves of Utah trees & how to decipher a dichotomous key in accordance with the Common Core standards (under 4th grade science) Standard 5, Objective 2a & Standard 5, Objective3b. "Use a simple classification system to classify unfamiliar Utah plants or animals (e.g., tree/shrub/grass, deciduous/conifers)."
